The visit-centre is located on the coast of one of the clearest lakes of Khakassia – Lake Itkul. The main themes of the visit-centre are water and swamp area and birds’ migration. An exposition of the visit-centre consists of interactive exhibit items presenting migrating birds whish live on the territory of Khakassia. This presentation is made in a play way.
Tourists can be offered cycling excursions on the territory of the reserve. Having taken such an excursion visitors can enjoy the picturesque landscape of the site and observe the swimming birds in a natural habitat.
The visit-centre and cycling excursions of “Lake Itkul” Site
Excursions are held for children in the age of 7 and older and adults, in organized groups of 10 – 25 people. The duration of the trip is flexible, one hour and more. Cycling excursions are held for children in the age of 10 and older and adults, in organized groups of 5 and more people. The duration of the excursion is 2,5 hours. The seasonality is from May to September.
All the way long to the entrance of the visit-centre tourists can observe different items representing birds and animal living on this territory and also stone monuments showing ancient cultures having inhabited the territory of Khakassia many centuries ago, for example Okunev archeological culture.
